Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated
Beta Rho Chapter at Ramapo College of New Jersey

Chapter Herstory
It was the desire of two women to establish an organization that would stand against the injustices suffered by our gender, make a positive impact on our community and provide its members with a place to voice concerns and opinions freely. On December 5, 2010, after three long years of struggle to gain recognition on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey, Jennifer Mejia and Josemely Fernandez crossed into this Radiant sisterhood, establishing the third collegiate institution that recognizes Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in New Jersey.
Historically, there have been many issues facing women; unfortunately we have not yet succeeded in overcoming these matters, which is why we should all cohere with one another in order to overcome the injustices suffered by our gender in our society. We acknowledge that there have been many women who have faced many challenges in an attempt to free us from the adversities we have endured. As a result, we pay tribute to these women who have attempted to gain us our true independence.
Today the Beta Rho Chapter continues to thrive at Ramapo College, making history every day with a reputation for quality programming, outstanding community service, pursuance of academic excellence and above all dedication and perseverance.
